The fly-in is still a GO.
The field is all set with a fresh mowing and the flight line safety fence is in place. We are setting up the flight line the same as last year so the runway will be N-S with plenty of room in the pit area for all who attend including vendors.
I just checked Weather Bug and the wind forecast for tomorrow is now down to 15 mph from the NW. This is down slightly from yesterday's forecast of 15-25 NW. Perhaps we will luck out and see only 5-15
For those traveling from the North (or other direction ) please note that route 64 is closed for construction between route 39 and Schaefer Rd. Please plan to use route 38 from 39 to Schaefer Rd.
Looking forward to seeing you all there tomorrow,
Steve

Well, this one is in the books!
Despite high winds and cold temps, great fun was had by all
We ended up with 21 registered pilots and many spectators. I would like to thank the Northern Illinois merchants who contributed to the pilots raffle: Hobby Town of Rockford, Hobby Town of St. Charles, Al's Hobbies of Elmhurst, Venture Hobbies of Wheeling, and Dynamo Electrics.
Thanks again also to Randy of Dynamo Electrics for attending as a vendor. Randy is a stand up guy with great deals and we hope he will participate again next year.
The decision was made to keep the weekend after Mother's Day as the date for next years E-vent.
Thanks to all who attended to support our club it was our pleasure to share our field of dreams with you,
Steve
