Whats a more effective tail mod?
I'm getting tired of the Firebird Commanders slow turning response so I was thinking about modding the v-tail. Would it be wiser to add on to the control surface by adding something to make the surface taller, or to extend the cut in the surface to make it wider?

RE: Whats a more effective tail mod?
I've seen bits of sheet balsa taped to the surfaces to make them larger.
The primary purpose, and the end result, is pretty much the same on a plane like this: Increase the control surface area to increase control authority.
Have you taken advantage of all the features of the plane? Are you running in "Advanced" mode, and have you moved the control wires to the closest holes on the control horns?

heres a mod that will make it scream.
either make your own tail, or get one for the aerobird. the flaps on the aerobird are both longer and wider, but most important, they flex Both ways. (the commander the flaps Only go up, if memory serves) having one flap go up and the other go down will increase the turn a lot, even if the flaps arent any bigger.
