Prop shaft Bending,, need a fix,,<<<<
Hey folks I have a park 400 eflite brushless motor with a 6.6x1 gearbox, well everytime I have a slight crash I bend the gearbox shaft, and I went online to Horizon Hobby and they are of course out of stock of the prop shaft, I was wondering is there any where else I can go to get the EFLITE shaft or is there aftermarket shaft for the Eflite gearbox that is harder or whatever, thanks,,,

Actually the "version 2" eflite gearbox uses a hex nut on the shaft to hold the spur gear, not splines on the shaft like the others. I think thats a good idea but it does seem the eflite shafts are made of butter. The lightest prop strike to just grass will bend them!
I wonder if you could use a GWS shaft and GWS spur... should work as they are both 3mm but not sure about the distance from the c-clip to the spur.. probably different. How about the splined shaft and gear from the eflite version 1 gearbox??
You can always try a Cobri and never really worry about bending anything, maybe just busting the motor stick.

That's what it looks like. That's good news because I've been wanting to fix my gearbox and have resorted to GWS gearboxes instead with mixed results. I'll try it. Only thing is without that hex nut it won't be nearly as strong to prevent stripped spur gears.
