This electric noob needs some help
well im all set up with a 3 cell lithium, eflite 20 amp spped control, and an eflite 370 outrunner brushless. it all goes good untill im in the air for maybe 30 seconds and my full power dies to less than half. i have charged the battery and it is putting somewhere close to 16volts. does anybody know wat my problem is. please help.

The problem is probably your "3 cell lithium." Could you please be more specific as to what 3 cell lithium you have?
Also, what prop are you using?
I am almost 100% sure that what is happening is the motor/prop combination is putting too much strain on the battery pack. In other words, you're drawing more Amps than the battery pack can handle. This can be caused by two things:
1. The battery pack is too small.
2. The propeller is too large.

that battery is rated to 8C
which is a max of 6A
with the prop you are running, it appears that it can easily draw 11 or 12 amps. (i don't one one, but that is the info I am finding)
so as mentioned above...your battery pack just can't provide enough power.......
so depending on which eflite... you need either an even smaller prop or a bigger battery
