Default How much Voltage goes to my servos?

I know when you fly gas or glow you can use different voltages 4.8V , or 6.0V.
One of the advantages to using a 6.0V battery is that your servos put out more torque and travel faster.

In an electric plane you use a Speed control of some sort and my question is can you "bump up" the voltage to your receiver to get a boost in your servos?
Does it really matter when you are flying little 6 gram servos? My guess is probably not going to notice 3 - 4 more ounces.

The ESC has a circut called a BEC, battery elimination circuit. This takes whatever voltage comes from the motor battery and steps it down to 5V for the servos. I am not aware of any BEC that lets you regulate that.

I was doing some looking yesterday and I came across this product.

I fly mostly glow so I was mainly just curios if electrics were able to boost their servos.

Excellent research!

I wasn't thinking of the standalone BECs when I answered above. I was thinking of the integrated BECs that are embedded in the ESC. But it is good you pointed that out, especially for someone who might need it.

Thanks!
