Brushless motor and lipo hot after 30 seconds...
I was testing my prop saver tonight (selecting the right O ring) and after three zero to WOT runs (just slowly up and down) the motor was almost too hot to touch and the lipo was noticably warm. Is that becuase the plane was stationary instead of being in the air?

It is not recommended to run our electrics static for more than a few seconds because of the heating. But on the other hand it sounds like you are loading your setup too hard... not too much prop?

Could be a bad motor, I had one go bad and it would be untouchable after about 3 seconds.
I hope I am wrong but it can happen.

Its all good. I just flew it for 20 minutes or so and the motor was cool and the lipo pack was just barely warm. This brushless deal rocks! I flew it with the AP wing (54") and it was almost out of sight in less than a minute. The 20 minute flights are a nice bonus too.
