can you put too much voltage on a reciever
it is a gws mini reciever batt was a 3 cell kokam lipo2000 mah 15c rating
also can some one give me charging settings for a triton charger and this batt

RE: gws reciever bad??
One thing to keep in mind is that you didn't necessarily do anything wrong/bad/stupid to damage the receiver. Shtuff happens... If you can't find an obvious reason, and the replacement works okay, there's really no other explanation.
Charger settings:
1. LiPoly program.
2. Voltage = 11.1V, because the pack is a 3-cell.
3. Current = up to 2 Amps, because the pack is a 2000mAh pack

The ESC regulates the voltage to the receiver and servos to 5V. Only the motor gets the full 11.1V, or whatever your pack is rated at. If you tried to somehow plug the battery directly into the receiver, you would definitely have "problems".
