Speed 600
I have a Speed 600 set up that I used to have in a glider laying around. I'd like to put it in something a little more interesting. Does anyone have any ideas. I cant seem to find much.

I have a speed 600 with a 3.5:1 turning an 11x7.5 on 10 1700AUP cells on a scratch built 48" WS (symmetrical airfoil) foam plane and this thing can rock and roll....unlimited vertical and amazingly fast....but the best thing of all: the airframe is worth less than $2.00

The newest design is fully 3d capable. A friend of mine named it the "Speep", so that's what I'm marketing it as.
The wing is 48x10" semi-symmetrical, fuselage is a 36" "box" design, and tail-pieces feature 2" balsa control surfaces. The ailerons are 1.5"wide balsa. Some people have compared it to a foam "SPAD" design.
I don't have any plans for it, but I am selling an ARF (80% done) version of this plane for $40USD + shipping. If you'd like more information and a few pictures, email me [email protected]

$40...mmmm... you said the airframe was only worth $2
nah, thanks, but then I'm not interested. Ordering a 40$ plane in the U.S. that arrives here in Europe totally smashed isn't one of my hobbies...
Sorry,Niels

shipping would also kill you....sent one to Sweden a few weeks ago....$27USD for Air Mail...YIKES (but it did get there fine)
Actually, tally it all up, the fiberglass cloth, foam (which is worth $2), glue, balsa, linkages, and labor (5-6 hours per plane), and some would say $40 is a steal. Guess that's why I'm backordered 25 planes right now. DOH! I'm eager to see people start using them for electric combat...durable as heck. One guy in Colorado told me about his first day with the Speep: 3 pilot-inflicted crashes in one day (2 crappy landings and a LOW knife-edge), and he took it home still ready to fly.
