BRONCO BATTERIES ?????????????????????????????????????????
Back to planes now, weathers gettin good.
I have a R.U. 52" Bronco I built last year as a volter but I'm using a battery from my first volter and need the right battery or batteries for this application.
It has two Axi 2820-10 motors with two Jeti 40 amp controllers running on a single Thunder Power 3 cell 6000 li-po.
Using the best perfornance prop, Groupner 10X8 pulling 630w. and 39 amps at full throttle the battery runs too hot, up to 150
degrees and I just removed the battery from the plane after sitting for five or six months and it has swollen.
The plane weighs 5.7 lbs. without the battery, what do I need?
Thanx in advance.

Wow, 39 Amps is causing that huge battery to get that hot? I might've expected it to be a problem on 78 Amps, but not 39. That's only a little over 6C at full tilt on a 6000mAh pack. How old is this pack?
Any modern pack 3000mAh or larger can easily handle a 39 Amp load with throttle management.
I would go with a 4000mAh Polyquest or a 3200mAh from FMA.

Matt,
Guess I didn't have my glasses on, it was 630W at "58A" with 10X7 props and 650W at "69A" with 10X10 props. The battery was a few months old and never got over 100 degrees while driving a geared CEM 600BL-2 brushless.
