It's time for me to announce the first annual Hodges Hobbies All Electric Fly-in, which will be held in September 2006. The "official" AMA sanctioned day is the 23rd,Saturday, but everyone is invited for electric only flying for fun on friday the 22nd and sunday the 24th also. $10 landing fee for saturday ONLY, friday and sunday are free open flying. And make no mistake, the aim of this event is FUN and flying. Only basic flying field safety rules will apply, and AMA membership is required. Concessions will be on-site on Saturday only- Hamburgers and Hot Dogs for lunch, $5 a meal, and Barbecue for dinner @ $6.00 for a full meal. Saturday we will also have some of the best pilots in the world for noon time demos, including Mac Hodge's famous 20 foot wingspan B-29. Heli pilots- WAIT till you see the demo lineup we have for you!! There will be several factory sponsored pilots on hand for the demos and to help you set up your heli. There will also be specials in the hobby shop throughout the weekend related to electric flight.
