Default E-Prop Vs Slo Fly Prop ?

If I buy an APC 8x6 thin electric prop, and an APC 8x6 Slo Fly prop, what differences in flight will I get ?

I guess it all depends on the plane and motor. I have a Puddle Master and I flew with a 8-4 electric prop and a slow flyer 8-4 prop the slow flyer worked better. I found the motor has to turn up a lot more RPM with elec-prop than slow flyer prop to fly the same. Also on my gear drives with larger props 10 to 14 inch I find the slow flyers work better same pitch and dia. But on the really hot motors like the brushless that turn very high rpm the slow flyers flex too much and may not hold up like the elec-props at those rpm's. But for just flying around I like the slow flyers over the others.

Ok thanks, I will probably end up trying both to see.

I agree, I tried a 8x5 electric prop vs. a 8x4.5 slow flyer, the slow flyer kept the motor cooler but generated a lot more "wind" so to speak. The motor did not have to work as hard to turn it which meant longer flying times and less wear on the motor, and it actually generated more power.

Thats probably because the blades on a slow fly are wider, so that will explain the extra "wind" as you said for lower rpm
