Default socket charger vs 12v portable

Hi,
I am about to receive my parkzone stryker f27
With that there is a charger for 12v car accu use.
Also the plane set comes with an 7 cel nimh 8,4 flight battery/accu.

Now i allready have, at home 220V socket peak detection charger (i am in the Netherlands, europe) for nimh accupacks.
It is good for 4,8 up to 9,6 volt accupacks. It charges at 1 or 2 Amp.

Can i use it safe for the standard set flight accu 8,4 nimh 900 mah ?

It should work just fine on the 1 Amp setting.
