Hangar 9 P40 brushless setup help
Need some major advice.
I'm looking at converting my Hangar 9 P40 to electric but don't know what motor, battery (lipo), prop to go for.
I've so far looked at the AXI 4130/16 and the E-Flight Power 60. Is there any other motor that I should be considering, Hacker maybe.
Any help appreciated.
Mark.

RE: Hangar 9 P40 brushless setup help
Either of those motors will work just fine. IMHO, the only thing a Hacker or other more expensive motor will buy you on a plane like this is a bigger hole in your wallet
Use a 6S LiPoly at least 3300mAh in capacity, and a 15x8 or 15x10 prop.
Your biggest issue will be balance. It will be necessary to mount the servos in the radio compartment, or add about 8oz of lead to the nose.
This is a sweet flying airplane. You'll be very happy with the electric conversion.
