Airplane Storage?
My planes are taking up an entire bedroom, I only have three, a Stryker, a Typhoon and a Mustang. How does everyone keep their planes? In the garage, in the house, wings off, wings on, etc....

RE: Airplane Storage?
For me, it depends on the size of the plane. If it fits in the truck in one piece, it stays in one piece. Bigger planes get broken down into wings and fuselage simply because they don't fit for transport.
I guess it's all down to how much space you've got. Three park flyers taking up an entire room? That's a pretty small room.
Have you considered hanging the planes from the ceiling using hooks and string?

Definatly a small room. I was gonna hang em but wanted to see some others methods. Kinda thought the string would cause bending or some other damage. My planes anyway are all foam.

RE: Airplane Storage?
Here are a few ideas for storing small planes.
A rack made from pieces of PVC pipe, like these:

Or a similar rack made with wooden dowels:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...chmentid=90706
Or go to a home center and purchase some wall-mounted brackets normally used for hanging tools:

You can also loop a piece of heavy string around the landing gear or even the prop (if the plane is fairly light) and hang them from hooks on the wall.

RE: Airplane Storage?
I have the same 3 planes plus a PZ J3 cub. The P51, typhoon and cub all are strung up right next to the rafters in my shed/garage. I make a loop of nylon cord (experiment to get the loop size correct). I put one wing into the loop, go under the fuse then up around the other wing. The two sides of the loop then hang on a single hook screwed to the rafter. With a cord in front and back of each wing it keeps the model from sliding front to back and the belly of the plane is the only thing resting on the cord and taking the weight. Now, the stryker sits on the floor as I haven't figure out a good way to hang it and I crashed it recently and need to do some repairs...doh!!!

Hey Red,
What glider is that at the top of your rack in the garage? (manufacturer kit)
