Default Battery Storage?

I have 2 DN Power 20C Lipo's after charging and storing them for about 2 months in my flight case inside the house, I went to go and fly my heli today, and both of them were swelled up, and felt like they were going to burst?? I think they should most likely be thrown away.

What did I do wrong here? the other Lipos seemed to store for the same amount of time, in the same case with no problems.

Thanks,
Pete

yup, they are toast unfortunately

you probably stored them all the way full, after a period ranging from a week to a month (depending on how conservative you are), you need to discharge the cells to about 50% capacity or 3.8v or so per cell.

I actually did a bit of searhing seems my batteries I had purchased in May used and then stored are part of a bad batch the vendor had. They asked me to mail them back, and they are shipping replacements to me.

even better =) Now you know how to store your packs, and it was a lesson learned that you wont have to pay for =)
