E - Flite 25 - What Battery ????
I'm getting an E - Flite 25 for my next project ( a Fliton Element 30 F3A ) and am wondering if a 4S 2200 battery will give me enough flight time ( I'd like 10 mins ) or should I go to a 3300 mah ( don't really want the extra weight ). Comments ?????

RE: E - Flite 25 - What Battery ????
Someone on the eflite piper cub thread ran their 25e on a 3s 2200mah battery. I run two 3s 2100 mah thunder power packs in parrallel due to the 32 amps my 25e has drawn at full throttle. I think that flight time would not be an issue (I get 30 minutes with 4200mah total capacity). But your 25e will draw some serious amps on 4S and that might be more than your 2200mah battery can handle. Or it would be right at the limit for a 20C pack.

I am saying that a 15C 3300mah would let you safely pull 49.5 amps from the battery. The 15C 2200mah battery will let you safely pull 33 amps from the battery. The 25e motor will pull too much current at full throttle for the small battery to handle. You need the 3300mah battery.

Don M, you will pull less amps with the 4S than the 3S so it depends on how many watts you want to pull. To get 500 watts with a 4s you will pull 34 amps, with a 3s to get 500 watts 45 amps. so if you want to pull less amps go with the 4S battery.
