Default Replacement shaft for brushless motor

Follow a crash this weekend, I requre a new shaft for a brushless motor.

Is it possible to obtain these, or is the motor a write-off?

That's like asking if you can put a new crank shaft in your car's motor...

It can be done, but more information is needed.

What brand and part number is the motor?

Many are just smooth steel. http://www.mcmaster.com/ has drill blanks fully hardened. I have replaced 6mm and 8mm, remember to get new bearings as well.
