Himax 2025 4200 on GLM Corsair
I was recently given a new Himax 2025 4200 motor and gearbox.
I am going to put this into a GLM (copy of GWS) Corsair foamie.
The weight listed for the plane is 450g (roughly 16oz). Not sure if this is with battery and servos or not. Am guessing it is.
Will this motor work with this plane?
And what gear ratio and prop should I use?
I have a 3s 1500Mah and a 3s 2200Mah battery for it. And will be using a Castle Creations 25A ESC.
I put all the info into motocalc but couldnt get a workable combination no matter what I tried.
A lot of the combo's said the prop would be too big for the airframe.
I dont mind if I have to run a 3 or 4 blade prop. In fact it would be preferable as the plane is a warbird so may look more scale with a large 3 blade.
I am new to electrics and normally fly nitro planes.
Thanks
