Take a look at the club list on the AMA website. 5 is the AMA District number and Yes/No is for "Intro Pilots".

To fly at any of those clubs, you'll have to join the AMA. I doubt any of the clubs have free memberships either.

Intro Pilots - Each AMA charter club can designate certain members as "Intro Pilots", at a cost of $5 per year per Intro Pilot. Members designated as Intro Pilots can train newbies under the AMA's Intro Pilot Program. That program allows newbies to learn to fly with an Intro Pilot for up to 90 days before they are required to join the AMA. During this period, the Intro Pilot must log all sessions, and they are covered under the AMA liability insurance.

Why don't you just ask the AMA?

He's looking for free. As soon as AMA is involved, it is no longer free. Minimum $29, plus club fees.

If you're looking for places to fly for free, the best thing to do is just drive around with a plane in the trunk and look.
