Default 80A ESC w/BEC - Can't find them!

I having trouble getting an 80A ESC with BEC, that is an good and inexpensive one. I've looked at Exceed and Turnigy. Can anyone recommend another brand?

On the other hand I can get one without BEC but then I would need a seperate receiver pack. Can someone recommend and inexpensive pack for the Spektrum AR500? I'm thinking 5-cell NiCad but not sure of the mAh. Any help here?

AR500 is rated 3.5-9.6v - perhaps a 2-cell Lipo to save weight. Size (ma) depends on current draw of servos and accessories if any.

All my mid-size planks use Turnigy Plush 80A esc w/bec - 300+ flights so far with no failure. However, it seems that line is being
replaced/updated. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...85A_w/_4A_SBEC

Rats!  That one is out of stock too!  By the way, I know what BEC is and what UBEC is, but what is SBEC?

I have been running the Turnigy 80A and they work great! No problems on with servo performance. Another brand you can look into is the DualSky, they work great too.

21 bucks shouldn't break the bank! How does Moxie compare to Turnigy or ExceedRC's Volcano series ESC's? I haven't heard of Moxie until now. Currently I'm using a Volcano 60A ESC with good performance but I don't want to run a max throttle very long as it will get hot. It would be nice to switch to 80 amps. So what can you tell me about Moxie, anyone?

I suppose that is a switching bec. Most bec's on smaller esc's are liner. They work fine, but produce heat. Larger esc's usually indicate larger control surfaces, more servos and larger servos. The increased loads required by these add even more heat. At that point, manufactures go to the more expensive switching bec's.

I have dualsky 80A esc with 5v/3A SBEC and it works fine on a 60 size yak55.
