    J-3 Piper Cub bush plane

Heres some pics of my friend's cub on tundras. They are the 4" Dubro big wheels. My cub is on 4.5" big wheels. We let all the air out but the tire still remains stiff due to its thickness. This makes for great rough-field take-offs and landings. Short approaches to 3-point landings are possible on some pretty hairy terrain. Rollout is usually about 5 feet if you get her slow enough.
The tail wheel is a Great Planes 1 1/4".

RE: J-3 Piper Cub bush plane

Heres the video of my J-3 on 4.5" tundras.
The wind was blowing pretty hard and gusting to around 25 at times. The Cub was a little difficult to handle, with it being a giant weather vane and all!
Overshot the landing strip and rolled it down the embankment at the end. No harm done

That's a very scale looking Cub!
I like the barn door ailerons - my Carl Goldberg cub has these horrible strip ailerons.

Congratulations with a very nice setup - impressive.
What camera (or system) are you using?

    Cheers
My experience is that continental drift sometimes causes the Earth to jump up and knock a plane out of the sky......
