Help a rookie choose an electric!!
I'm just an average slope flyer with a plethora of sailplanes.
wingeron, pitcheron, full house, res, etc..... I like slope!!
What I would want in an elec is a ship that is capable of all aerobatics, vertical or near vertical climbouts, ability to thermal somewhat would be nice. Good flyability without power on.

Heres what I envision:

1)Planes all charged up, all systems checked out

2)fire up, launch, climb to altitude
A)power off, thermal a bit and cruise at altitude or
B)power off and go aerobatic, burning off all that height
C)power on and go aerobatic, burning up all that juice

3)power on and climb out and repeat 2A/2B/2C till batteries die.

4)land and install another battery and do it again
A)land hook up to a fast charger and then do it again

I am used to high speeds and high speed aerobatics
and very comfortable with flying in general. I use a Futaba 9C
radio. I am capable of scratch building, wood and composite.

So..........what would y'all recomend and where to buy.
I will need all info, plane, motor, prop, battery, esc, and anything else you can think of. Thanks for your replies in advance.

Hi Paul,

It almost sounds like you are talking about a high performance electric-powered sailplane also known as an HLG.

Check out some of these models at Hobby Lobby:

High Performance Electric Sailplanes

Electric Powered Sailplane/Gliders

Good luck!

Check out a Miss 2 from Hobby Lobby. I've had mine for 3 years and it does what you are asking a plane to do.
