super cub motor upgrade.
i have a HZ super cub LP
i would like more power!
is there a brushed motor that would work? i dont have the money to go brushless.
has anyone tried a prop with a higher pitch? or will that just over tax the esc?

RE: super cub motor upgrade.
By more power, do you mean more speed or more thrust?
If you want more speed go to a higher pitch, smaller diameter prop.
For more thrust you go larger diameter, lower pitch.
The 480 motor can have a couple of things to help out in the power department. #1 is the water break in which helps seats the brushes better, allowing more power to flow thru them and less to be wasted sparking.
The other and it takes a little skill is retiming the motor. This involves turning the back plate slightly to advance the timing on the motor. This will make the motor pull harder, but also will raise the amp load and shorten your flight time slightly.

Brush-less does not have to be expensive. This site http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/StoreFront has motor (480+) and ESC (30A) that would work for about $43.00. That's only like 1/3 the cost of the VXL system in your Rusty
