RE: Micro videos
Here's a video of the Pitts shockflyer. We were in a bit of a lull between storms so the cloudscape is nice as well.

RE: Micro videos
Cool thread, Fern, nice vids too
Took them a year to take up my recommendation to make a micro Stryker, but better late than never!
The videos I've seen of the F-27Q dont look half bad, but it definitely needs a 3rd cell to get some real speed. Mine ended up being heavier at around 3oz, but on 3S lipos, it'll hit 70mph or more in a straight line, no idea what it'll do in a dive...its scary fast, just how I like it, and its probably one of my all time favorite planes I've ever flown or built. I think I've got a thread on it somewhere around here, but its probably back many pages.

Edit: Hey Fern how do you embedding your videos?
Edit again...thanks!!

RE: Micro videos
Just watched itFerndale Air Force, and seeing the Microstare down the wind makes me want to hit the skies, too. First, what battery? Good flight time! I love the Thunder Power 160s.Second, do you feel having the landing gear on gives her more stability? Sure looks it.
Thanks for taking the time to post your vids!

RE: Micro videos
First up, how to embed a video, in the reply box there is a button marked youtube this is what you get when you click it, Next put the cursor in between the parentheses and paste your video.
Micro, I wondered if you had seen the little stryker.
Saburo I am flying the HK turnigy 160's. As for the lg, I lake to rog whenever possible.
I guess it is time for some new video, And I certainly have some Enjoy
How about the 26' Sbach clone, BOC version, http://www.badiusownersclub.com/vide...h%209Aug11.wmv

And then a little Extra, BOC version http://www.badiusownersclub.com/vide...043%20prop.wmv

RE: Micro videos
Thanks for the heads up on embedding the videos, that was driving me nuts.
How do you like the mCPX, is it comparable to the mSR other than it being 3D? Been waiting a long time for them to do something like that, sure do want one.
Thanks,
Nick

RE: Micro videos
No problem Nick, figuring that out drove me a bit nuts as well.
I was just out flying the heli and pondering how to answer your question. Here is my analogy. The mCX is like a slowstick, or to stay with micros, perhaps the Cub, very simple to fly once you grasp the concept. A 3 channel craft. The mSR is a 4 channel craft with 2 levels of control, but you do not need much aileron input to fly. I have my mSR maxed and de-expo'd. The mCPX needs constant aileron and elevator, but the tail stays solid.
All that said, this is a great heli, the gyro system is awesome. If you can fly the mSR you can get the mCPX. The trick for me was learning to launch. You have to get the rotor disk flat then pop the heli into the air. Learning to fly it indoors would be far more optimal than the way I did.

RE: Micro videos
Hmmm...well I can fly the heck out of the mSR, it was a great trainer. ParkZone sure has released a lot of cool planes, but this heli might have to take the top spot in the "empty my wallet" line up. What TX are you using?
Nick
edit: just uploaded an older video of me flying the mSR. Only had it a few days at this point so I was still pretty rough on the sticks, but after a week or so she was cruising!!

RE: Micro videos
Here's the latest heli vid. I am at 100% rates and 5% expo. Learning to fly the mSR helped my 3D flying. Learning to fly the mCPX is even better.

RE: Micro videos
I traced an SU-26 fuse and wing and cut it out of thin foam. It has all of the gear from a regular Sukhoi, except I have two aileron servos.
