How about a little ice boat? One servo for the tiller and one for the sail? If I lived in snow land I would probably have built a swamp buggy. How's this for an odd idea, Or maybe Luke Skywalkers speeder.

Sounds like a fun build! I seen a rc snowmobile at Radio Shack last year
and some hover craft at Toys r Us last week. Other than that... but seriously,
being an avid flyer I doubt you'd enjoy 4 months of snow land.

Just thought I'd let you know that target.com has the full-size storm launcher on sale for $18. Unfortunately, shipping is another $10. Still $28 is not bad.

Your planes are looking better and better with every model, Neurotex.
Did you notice any problems with the small vert stab on the yellow and
black RF plane?

I'm with Neurotex on the subject of cold and snow...glue, foam and balsa
(and especially lipos) dont like below freezing temps...and neither do i!!

Neuro, I'm far enough north that I get some hard freezes, but since the pacific is warmer that the altantic I'm unlikely to see snow at my level. Other than flurries. But yeah, cold is not my favorite thing.

My next guild is a Cox micro Zero. I have the cutest little motor sitting here, an equally cute little esc, some gws 3x3 props I bought on spec ad a herd of 5g servos. I built the mustang version of this plane 18 months ago stock except for a lipo, and it was a pos. This one is a hand me down.

The stripping of the heavy Cox gear is done and a firewall for the bl motor is done. Tim

Well Tim your finally flying a heli! COOL!
Santa is bringing me that MC2 for Xmas. I do have the CX2 a CP Pro and a Blade 400. I can or use to fly the Cx2, hover the CP Pro and hover the Blade 400 with some forward flight until I screwed it into the ground. I'll probably start to hover again inside during bad weather as sometimes its too cold and windy to fly planes. Is there a market for the older air hogs, bi planes etc., as I still have original stock. Ron

No problems with the stab but the yellow RF turned out to be really tail heavy.
Mounting the lipo in the wing to slim down the fuse didn't work like it did on
my other AA version. Instead of adding about 3 grams to the nose I cut the
fuse in half and added a fatter nose to take the lipo.

I bought a Gyrator for the snow at Toys R Us but it doesn't work and now have
to return it. While there I noticed an AA double taped. New tape over sliced old
tape. I know what that means. A returned AA reshelved for the next victim.
The Gyrator box was also a mess and half off... should've known.

Neuro, did you write NO on the tape? Just kidding. I sometimes leave work with a sharpie in my pocket, and once wrote "fix me" on a grocery cart.

Odd that the yellow RF came out so tail heavy, I suppose a long tail with the
actuator way in the back causes all sorts of problems.

Bummer about the return! AirHogs/Silverlit should create an RC recycling program
where all the duds get collected and returned and then parted out and sold. They'd
probably save themselves some money.

I mentioned this to Neurotex, but thought i'd pass it along here in case someone
hadnt heard about it yet. Powered by a JetScream fan, it'll be sold at BSD sometime
soon hopefully: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=962992

The sharpie would do it! I always wondered why they were interested more in
the condition of the box than the contents. Also explains why some of my earlier
purchases had the decals already applied. The motors hardly spinned but at least
the plane looked nice.

Garrett, I turned the elevator linkage down half a turn. That's it. I'm probably going to put the MIA kit on it. Latest vid. http://www.badiusownersclub.com/video/mcx%20vid%204.wmv

Yea, I ordered the black glossy kit last nite. I recomend cutting off the first section of the flybar. I had an extra and decided and its awsome. probly shaved of .5g maybe. it has better ff and flys like its lighter.

Garrett, I have been flying mine for a monthe with only the minimal mod, and in low rates. I'm learning to fly this heli as it wants to be flown. The guys on the big heli thread have done nothing to theres other than blade tracking, and balancing. I want the MIA gear to enhance the skills I have learned with stock gear. Just my $0.02 worth.

Ron, If I were you I would e-bay the planes. Bipes will go for $60+. Insane.

Hello Everyone,

I've been flying the Air Hogs line of R/C aircraft for several years now and started designing profile models of a few of my favorite USAF aircraft. The models utilize the Air Hogs R/C equipment and they are the North American Aviation X-10, North American Aviation XB-70 and the Fairchild-Republic A-10. They all fly great!

All the best,
Tony
