my only problem with the helix is the delay with the directional rotors..

how much was shipping? INterested in the 1st one you bought. put up a review once you try it out. Ive only tried the Helix and I really like it!
it wasnt much i think for both i paid 76.85 shipped.. so about 10 bux in shipping..

but i have seen the lil tiny one fly at a local hobby shop.. and they added rubber bands to the nose to add weight so it could go forward..
and the bigger one,, the dragonfly is the same,, 2ch.. so im guessing maybe adding a penny to the nose so it would go forward slightly.. too bad it can go forward and backward...

WELL I CALLED MYSELF TRYING TO TEST FLY THE FIRST ONE... sorry for caps,, and this thing has a lot of power.. dont know if this is normal but i cant get a good lift from the floor.. well not anything controllable.. the tail rotor spins either slow or fast and faster.. and i just have to get used to it,... it is way bigger than the picco copy and i think i may have to take her outside.... or wait until all the mess is cleaned up in the living room and maybe try launching it off from the coffee table.. but it is well worth 33 bux in my opinion,,, but this is only my second heli.. my first was bought 2weeks ago,, the helix pro.. so dont quote me on anything..

but the thing does have a lot of lift to it........ if that is how you say it?

So how do you compare it to the Helix..

Control?

will it fly outside with little wind?

how long does it last?

how long does it take to charge?

ummmm, how many channels was it?

give me a few days and i will be able to answer in full..

compared to helix i FEEL that it would be more fun... not sure yet,, havent been able to fly it..

dont know how long it lasts,, but my guess woulld be about 7-10 minutes.. considering it didnt have a ful charge and i was messing with it for over 5 minutes.

dont know how long it takes to charge...lol..

it is 2 channels.. so i guess just like the picco it will rotate around a bit until you stabalize it and then you can control it.. ,, just my guess..

well finally took it outside.. maybe that was my first mistake.. but since it doesnt have FORWARD,, the wind was taking it in the direction that it wanted to.. so i may have to add weight SOMEWHERE.. im guessing ,adding a penny on the tip of each landing pad.. might do the trick.. but maybe i may need a lil more.. or maybe i will tape them or even add those weith things and stick them to the bottom of the body... but once i get it going right i will chime back and let you know.. but it does give me a good idea as to what im getting myself into.. not as easy as i thought

Dated 01/04/07 Hobbytron is being sued by SilverLit for dist illegal "PicoZ" helis. This is soo sade as I just ordered mine and received it today. The quality is REALLY disappointing and I will be sending mine back for a FULL refund. The heck with Hobbytron for not disclosing that this is a CHEAP chinese model of crap. I am not even going to try fly this thing... http://www.silverlit-flyingclub.com/Hobbytron.htm

I have 1 week ago purchase an Blade CX from E-flight and it a great electric heli model, of course $200+ later but it is still a heck of alot of fun and challenging.

i can understand wanting a cheep heli, BUT spend the cash and get a hobby grade heli. not toy grade. get a e flite CX2. i love mine. not cheep, but you can get parts at your lhs. it's definatly not in the price range, but it's hobby grade. not toy grade.

this little clone is basically just a picco/havoc, but with a smaller body and shorter tail boom, right? i suppose the gear is on the bottom too though...
