Default RE: New Dualsky Pattern Motors! 6360

Well,
I will ask Dualsky for more details as I am curious myself as a distributer. The general idea I got when the DA line was introduced, was that the DA series was designed for competitions. By this meaning better performance and reliability.

I hope that helps.

I know this thread is a bit old now but can anyone tell me if the DualSky XM6360DA-12 Competition Series is still the recommended motor for F3A as they seem to have expanded the range since the end of this thread?

Thanks guys.

Re the last post seems that the XM6360DA-10 is the best motor for ten cell set ups, i.e. F3A?

My 6355DA is working perfect in my 10S F3A model, close to 500 flights now (I do not flow too much) Not need 6360DA, is more heavy and power is more than enough with the 6355DA. Off course, will be not enough if your model is over 5Kg and you like to fly schedule very far and very big, but then you can not participate in F3A championships and/or the judges will donwgrade you because over 200 meters!!!.

Thanks Alfonso, got all the numbers mixed up I meant to ask about the XM6355DA-13 which I've actually now bought anyway so hope that one's the same as yours.

For some reasons, probably to get off the pack, I ended up in mounting a XM6360DA-10 on my Mythos-S 2m. The motor is really powerful but I had to reduce the throttle EPA (75%) not to burn it on a 21x12 and even at a lover setting on a 22x10. In fact I found that extra attention has to be given to the cooling. Therefore I opened as many vents as I could, including big ones in the spinner. The less heat the battery-ESC-motor system generates, the less amps it will draw down. My P15 now takes less than 3000 mAh, also thanks to a wiser throttle management (Hitec A9). To me the only negative factor is the weight of the motor that is not justified by its performance, engineering wise, but it is largely done by its price.
Besides congratulation to Dualsky, in one fourth of the budget you have it all.
