Default Your Best Method for locating canopy pins: How To's

Guys I need help here.

I've got the Sickle and looking at the canopy I can't for the life of me figure out a good way to locate and install the pins. The spring latch isn't a big deal.

Not being able to get inside the fuse to mark the locations is a pain. I know you guys have done this before and have a fool proof method.

Care to share?

Tim

Barring being able to access one side I have used a pair of thin cardboard or stiff paper templates. I tape the pair of templates together in 1 or 2 places to keep them aligned and run 2 pieces of tape where it won't interfere with the other tape to attach them to the facing surfaces. Then I cut the tape holding the two together and can take the canopy off and drill the holes and they should match up unless you didn't tape the templates down well enough.
