Works great to understand what they say in the chinese forum about the build when loading the URL in Google translator.

Hi Jeff,

I noticed that the false rib for the wing tube in the foam wings is not on the plans. Do you just form it as you go to match the wing?

Sheldon,

that is how I do it. I make a light ply rectangle with a hole for the wing tube and temporarily install it in the wing. I then trace the wing outline onto the wood, remove the rib, and then cut it out.

Thanks Jeff. I was pretty sure I could do that, just better with confirmation from the designer.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for doing this for all of us. Not a lot of options out there for the DIY wanting to build a F3A pattern ship. Hoping I can get a copy of the plans and your thoughts on putting a gas engine into it - feasible or not? Email is [email protected].

Hi Jeff,

Finally getting the time to start on the Lightning. What adhesive did you use to laminate the carbon to the balsa? I have not had a call to do that before now.
