Daniel is a really great pilot and will only continue to develop and get better....he is a good kid and has a very pleasant personality. The same can be said for Donatas....

Last night while at the field I had the incredible honor of getting to fly with former Navy Capt, and astronaut, Robert "Hoot" Gibson. He is a great guy and is in town to speak at the US Navy's Test Pilot School graduation this weekend. He is a very good pilot and he took a few passes on the Vanquish. Also present was our club member US Navy Capt. Tom Huff who is Commander of the Atlantic Test Wing and a former pattern guy who is looking to get back into pattern and has really enjoyed the Vanquish. Here are a couple of photos.

I don't know what is it about those astronauts. They just look the part, don't they?
That must have been very cool, Arch! Thanks for posting those pics.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread
Hello, fellows! I ordered a CC Ice 80 HV and a Futaba BLS155 for the rudder (it seems to be the same as the BLS352 Andrew Jesky is using with great success).
Otherwise, the S9650 arrived today and the S9551 are still on their way. The problem is the servo arms from Hobbyking (AFAIK, they are exactly the same as the Dubro HD arms) have a little slop on the spline as mentioned before in this thread and I'm thinking of trying the method byoung466 suggested in the last post.
Archie, you did cut the four tabs for side mounting on each S9650, didn't you? How do the arms fit? Are they tight or loose?
Thanks!
Nickolay

Unfortunately, I can't yet find the Torque Bullet motor in any store and have got no answer from Chris. I guess guys at EF are quite busy right now.

I cut the 4 tabs off on the 9650's. I don't like the Dubro arms as they have too much slop. For the elevators I'm just running the large 4 arm servo arm from Futaba with the 3 I don't need cut off. On the ailerons I'm running the Futaba aluminum arms that you can order from Tower Hobbies. I do not like how the Dubro arms fit on the Futaba servos so I've never run them for pattern.

There was a very small shipment of only 5 planes that came in the first container and it is sold out. The container was packed full of other aircraft that they have been waiting on, as well as the fact many of the 2m Vanquishes were shipped to be distributed world wide. The next container will be coming later this summer and hopefully have significantly more. The plane flies very nice with no bad habits.

Archie, you do use the rubber grommets and metal eyelets on the servos, don't you?
Also, are the rudder pull-pull cables crossed?
Thanks!

Randy,
Order an Osiris Combo for the 5S-5000 packs. Same batteries for the 2M and flies 90% as goodly.

Hallo
I am Gerhard from Germany and I am new in this Forum.
Some weeks ago I was buying a Vanquish F3A 2meter.
The setup I use is a Axi 5324-24 with a Jeti Spin 99 an 10s
Now Ihe model is nearly ready and I am looking for the center of gravity but I cannot fnd the position of the CG in the "assembly manual".
Can someone give me a information where the center of gravity should be for the first flights.
Best thanks for any information
Gerhard
