Temperature of Axi 5325/24 F3A

RE: Temperature of Axi 5325/24 F3A
On my 5325 24 driving a 20x13 APC, measured from behind through vent holes, directly into the windings, after a P11 in very windy conditions, I have measured repeatedly 65- 68 degree of celsius. I consider this to be a little too high for my taste. I think I have more than 200 flights on the setup and I also think that I have lost some power compared to new. The same measurements on my Pletty 30 09 EVO II, with a PT 20x13, reads 41 degree Celsius. Measurements with laser heat gun ....

Hi Mate,
I use the AXI 5325/24 and it has been measured at <40C after a P11 schedule. The measurement was made in the pits about a minute after the flight (time to walk from flight line). Usually, the temperature will spike after landing due to lack of airflow. I'm using a RASA 20.5 x 14 prop too with peak current ~75A.
Air flow over the windings is key to keeping the motor cool.
Regards,
Jason.

im agree qith you, Jason. For many months i have been flying with an 20x13 ptmodel prop and modelbau spinner with one hole in the nose for vent. Temperature after a sequence was of +-66 ºC. i decided increase the size of holes in the firewall and adapt a mini spinner. Results are awesome. 30ºC - 31ºC measured when plane has just landed. i noticed that performance of the motor has grow up working in this conditions. 300-500 Mahmp less in each flight.
