Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS

RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
Mhytos has more wing area. It flies slowly, i saw this in San Marino. Sebastiano flies with this plane outstanding! Very good constant speed!

is it full composite of just the fuse?
is it full composite of just the fuse?
From f3alorenz:
The hull is constructed of fiberglass-carbon with reinforcements. The plug-in wing and plug-in horizontal stabilizer surfaces are manufactured in rib construction, fully planked with balsa and finished with high-quality film.
So wing and stab i traditional balsa and covered withfilm (probably Oracover, like many other Sebart planes).

Here are a couple comparison pics of the Mythos 125. The first is the Wind S Pro 2M fuselage vs the Mythos 125 fuse. Second pic is a Monolog 2M wing panel vs the Mythos 125 wing panel. This is a big plane and very close to 2M size except for the fuselage volume.

@Bill
Once these arrive next week I can get a good look inside and get some measurements as to what will fit. This plane is very close to a "std" 2 meter plane size so it will be interesting to see what will fit in the nose.

Thanks for providing the size comparison pics. Have you had the chance to check measurements and firewall structure to determine if it can accomodate the Hacker A-60-7S-V2 and a 10S setup?
Thanks.

From the firewall to the face of the cowling is 3" so there should be several motor options that will also work. I need to measure again but I think a 10S setup might be tight in the battery compartment but I'm sure an 8S setup with the Hacker A50-16L would fit nicely.

Based on the 3" fire-wall to cowling distance the prop face of a hacker A60-5S would protrude 6.8mm or 1/4"- it's also 100g heavier & then you have batteries that are heavier too (than the as designed 6S pack) so that could be a problem too.
As an owner of several Sebart planes the biggest issue I have is how much they cost in the US. They are typicaly 40% more expensive than they are in Europe. Note the European price list includes VAT (Sales Tax) which ranges from 19 to 21% depending on country.
Based on Euro prices the Mythos should be $600 in the US ! - Oh & the Wind 2M should be $1500 !
Compare this to, for example, the EF Vanquish 2M - now that is about 10% cheaper in the US than Europe - and the belief is they are made in the same factory in China !

An email from 30min ago says the importer is working on pricing now. No ETA yet for the US
@ Steve
If you walk into a store in GB you will pay 530 Pounds Sterling or about $824USD Similarly in Euros you are looking at about 600 Euros or $733USD. The only way to avoid VAT is to have it shipped out of the Euro Zone and I would guess to the US it's about $250 minimum for the large size box so where is the 40% less coming figure from?
The importer (TP) sets the price and retailers have to abide by that price and nobody is getting rich retailing Sebart ARFs in the US.

F3A UL / Chris:
As sales tax / VAT goes to the government & not the retailer or importer then it should not be included in any price comparison.
Sebart price list for Mythos = 599 Euros - less VAT at 21% (Italy) & Euro to US $ FX of 1.22 = $604
Lindinger sell Mythos for 580 Euro's - less VAT at 20% (Austria) then $US cost is $590
UK street prices for Sebart planes can be 12.5% less than Area 51 list prices (e.g. Inwood Models) so I would expect the Mythos (when available over there) to cost around 471 pounds incl VAT at 20% which is about US$610 excl VAT !!
And then I could say that Sebart planes are even cheaper in Singapore than Euope but I believe my point has been made...
Don't forget my comment on Extreme Flight, their planes don't have the US price "premium" - in fact they are cheaper in the US than Europe !
I am pleased that the US importer, Thunder Power, are reviewing their pricing. I do understand it is them that set the price !!

RE: Sebart's new pattern ship MYTHOS
Ya know the plane is really just the beginning of the sale. In our shop we make the plane as easy to buy as possible as the rest of the required items will also be needed.
