Default First electric?

Looking to try electric aerobatic aircraft for precision flight. I fly some classic pattern and would like to try electric in the most bang for buck catergory. I think 50 class motor plane size would be more visible for me than 30 class. Sebart Wind 50 is the size plane I have interest in but is there a lower cost model that will get me started in epower flight aerobatics? Looking to spend 600 on airframe, motor, and esc. May not be possible for that budget so if more dollars needed point that out also.

Thanks

Tim

I'd have to recommend the 3D Hobby 62" Osiris. Mine flies great and they seem like the best bang for the buck out there. I think it's very close to your price point.

I love my Osiris, my first electric Pattern ship. I bought it from a private party for $650 rx ready, no batts. Paid 200 to ship it. Best money spent on Pattern so far. Precision construction, engineering is awesome. The wings are so easy to remove and the canopy hatch is perfect and opening is huge. Fun model, very precise, easy to fly and land.

Another vote for Osiris!

197 flights thus far a still amazed how well it flies for a model of this size.

I fly off short grass and also a paved runway so I was able to use the wheel pants for the 47" Osiris and smaller wheels.

Just finishing up an Osiris right now. An older traditional builder here and very impressed with the quality and simplicity of assembly. Also purchased the Andrew Jesky Precision Flight video and wow- it's almost like having US Champ in my shop telling me how to set it up! I highly recommend both Osiris and video. Plan to test fly mine next week.

I'll add my voice to the chorus. I really like my Osiris. It does everything well. Perfect "pocket" pattern plane

Maidened my Osiris on Monday and had 10 flights on it by noon Tues. My first electric larger than a park flyer and wow- been so easy, could get spoiled pretty quick! Dialing in CG with battery location has been the toughest thing so far. Lack of experience on my part, but learning something with each flight. This has got to be one of the most surefire ways to having a light, straight, troublefree mount for learning Sportsman.
