RE: Osiris
Hi Stan,
I've used that receiver in many similarly-sized airplanes with great success. The only pattern airplane I have flown that in has been a 48" Vanquish.
I am not sure how "fast" the receiver is, that may be the only drawback, but I've not noted any deficiencies with the use of that receiver in 30 or more airplanes (each with a different receiver, not one receiver recycled through several airframes)

Hi Ryan,
I have heard similar stories from people flying theirs in Foamy's. Mine was in a small foam jet that worked well.
Some guys at the field have said that receiver is not the best to use in a 60" pattern plane.
Just would like to know if anyone has that setup in theirs.
I probably will order their satellite version to be safe.
Thank you for your input.

I would like to know their justification for that claim. It's a full-range receiver.

That's why I am trying to get some one who has used that combo to chime in.
Hate to spend another 80 bucks if I don't have to.
30 receivers, that's a lot of receivers. You Must work for Horizon

Has anyone run an AR600x receiver in the 62 inch Osiris?
If so I was wondering if you are happy with the range and reliability of that receiver in that airplane.
I have that receiver and was wondering if it would be a good choice.
Thanks,
Stan

I've used the AR600 and it's predecessor the AR500 in my 62'' Osirises, combined I have over 400 flights on my Osiris and not a hint of signal trouble, even when my sloppy flying or wind had the plane way farther out than it should have been.

That's good news for me.
I will give it a try.
Just what I wanted to hear.

For me, rx's without satellites only go into my foam airplanes or small electric helis but the AR600x ought to be okay, however since I had to buy an rx for my 62" Osiris, it's got an AR6210x in it..... [8D]

Well the Futaba guys will tell you that an rx which requires a satellite has an inherently inferior design.....

Interesting point,
The AR600x will probably be all right.
Psychologically when you have an airplane that you just spent $1000 or any large amount on you want to use the latest and the greatest equipment, but a lot of other equipment out there will do the job just fine.
I know the AR600x from what people are saying will work just fine.
However if I should ever get a glitch I won't forgive myself for not going the Satellite route.
Just trying to stop the leaking of more and more dollars into my favorite hobby If I don't have to.
Thanks,
Stan
