Thanks Peter. That makes sense. I think you just talked me into getting a replacement for my original JetiBox that I got with my Spin ESCs. I really liked it for measuring pulse width out of any receiver.

RE: jetibox mini
Hi everyone,
I am setting up my 1st big electric, an EF 104" Extra, with a Plettenberg Predator 30-8 and a Jetti Spin Pro 200 ESC.
I have the Jetti Box Mini but I need some help, I just don't get how connect everything so I can program the ESC. When I connect the main batts to the ESC and arm it, the ESC arms and I can control the motor speed from the TX, but when I connect the Jetti Mini to the ESC, I get nothing. I connected the non-rx cable from the ESC to the Mini and the rx cable to the receiver. The extra wire on the back of the Mini is not connected to anything.
What am i missing? Do I need to have an external power source to the Mini?
Any help is appreciated.

Mythos125,
Yes, I finally got it working with a battery on the Input TX connector.
Any chance you can offer some advise about my motor/ESC combination? I got a little info from Esprit Models, but not much. I was told to use these settings as a starting point:
PWM frequence 9 kHz
Acceleration 1.5
Timing 5 degrees
# of poles 20
Thanks so much for the help.

PWM frequence 8 kHz -good starting point
Acceleration 1.5-ok
Timing 5 degrees -depending on motor ,large outrunners use 15-25.Experiment to see whats best
# of poles 20 -looks right for your motor

RE: jetibox mini
Thanks again.
I too was unsure about the timing. It would be nice if Plettenberg would provide some guidelines, but I have not found any. Even the 2 page manual that came with the motor did not have any recommended settings, only prop data.
I will be out testing the setup today and I will report back.
