Default Jeti Master Mezon 95 question: Need Help!!!!

Hope that someone can help me. Have the following question:

I have two Jeti Master Mezon 95 with the same identical setup: Q80 13XS + Falcon 20.5x14 + same Th curve + same ESC settings and same End points.

One is 67A and consumes around 500 mAh more and the other one is 47A and consumes less mAh per flight [X(]

Both are giving me at max TH around 6750 to 6900 rpm depending on the battery pack.

Why is this happening? How can I fix this?

Thank you,

Ney

Ney,

Check your connections on the speed control and see if you have a cold solder joint as this could be causing your extra amperage as it has more resistance.

Ney, you cold also swap the controllers between your 2 setups and see if the differences follow the controller or stay with the motor. This will help isolate the problem/differences between the 2 setups.

Andrew and Woodie:

Thank you for your replies. Will check the connections on both ESC to see what I find. Will do a swap on both of my Sparks to see if it’s the ESC or Q80.

What seems to be right, the 67A or the 47A with my setup?

Thank you,

Ney

PS: Andrew hope you remember me and good luck in WC in SA.

Hi,
The 47A has to be wrong.
There is no way 1750W will turn that prop at 6800RPM.
The 67A even seems a little low.

Hi Ney,

Do You use Jeti Box to check max current efter flight?

Is it same software (firmware) version in both Master Mezon ESC that You have?
Latest version is 1.27
http://www.jetimodel.com/en/Download...rs-Tx-Modules/

You can see the version that is installed in Your ESC with the Jeti Box connected.
When You are at start screen in Jeti Box You press right arrow on the box and there You can see the firmware version that is installed.
I use version 1.27 on my Master Mezon and max current is displayed correctly after flight. I have also measured on ground with a current
meter and it was about the same current on max throttle (77 amp in my case).

I was thinking if You maybe use different firmware versions in Your two Master Mezon ESC? It might be some bug in earlier version of the firmware
that it did not display correct max current in older version? In latest firmware 1.27 current is displayed correctly, that I know for sure since I have
that version in my Master Mezon.

Rune, Brian and Bo:

Thank you for your replies. Did a check on the ESC connectors did not find any problems. I tested changing ESC from one airplane to the other and the result was the same. Tested Both ESC with a brand new TP 5400 G8 with 6 break-in flight and manage to get 69A and 59A but RPM the same around 6900rpm on both ESCs.

Bo both of my Master Mezon 95 are with the 1.27 firmware. I used both on my Spark Evo I airplanes with the same prop Falcon V2 20.5x14.5 with the same End Points 100% 100% and same Th curve 100% low side and 90% high side.

That is what´s driving me crazy same exact setup on both but one has more Amps and consume more mAh per flight. []

Here are some pics of the meseurments I did with my Jeti box.

Hi Ney,

You could use a watts meter to measure the max current directly and compare that with the readings from the Jeti box.

Personally, I would trust the RPM numbers more.

Hi,

Can the low current (59 amp) be achieved with both motors?

I have the 13xs in the same plane as you and on a flight with P13 in almost no wind yesterday I used about 3200 Mah.
I know there has been (here in Norway) one 14xs that has it magnets slightly out off posistion tha one used about 70 A if I recall correct.but the numbers you are refering to cant be correct,
I would try to use a clamp A meter to see what you get , but if you are happy with the power and nothing else than your reading is making you worry I would fly.
