Default Outrunner throttle curve (endpoints question)

Hi guys,

I noticed in a couple of different threads how people are setting up their throttle curve with end points other than 0-100. I'm just curious what the reason for that is? (What does it achieve and is it only for certain ESCS?)

thanks,
Ken

Ken, I did that with my Castle Esc's, to ensure that o was o% and 100 was 100% thereby ensuring I have all the stick travel working for me.

I can't honeslty remember how to do it now, but the 10-15 seconds that it takes to program is worth it IMO.

With the jeti spin 99, and using the jeti box, you can measure the lowest pulse width that the esc can produce (Somewhere around 1msec from memory) .
This is often rather more than 100% low travel on the Tx(just checked on a JR Tx---around 127%)
Likewise at highest throttle, you can go above 100% on the Tx travel adjust, as long as the esc pulse width can match that of the Tx.
Obviously, the purpose of these adjustments, is to give the finest resolution of steps of increase/decrease of power available from the motor.
In practice, it's worth matching the lowest throttle---100% at the top end is OK.
