Hi Guys,
A picture was just sent to me by Ralph Schweizer showing his CRS fitted to a UK customer's Allure. The spinner size is 85mm which looks to be a perfect fit.
Weather permitting, I'll be trialling some new Dualsky HED 4600 packs in my Allure this weekend. These packs strip 224 grams straight out of the model! Photos showing the new packs and existing TP packs.
Cheers,
Jason.

The great people at CK Aero have published a brief article I wrote on the new Dualsky packs here: http://www.ckaero.net/blog/2015/10/31/allure-unloaded/

Hi Wingster,
I charge with a Power Lab 8 with MPA parallel board and the indicated IR is between 1.7 and 2.2 milli ohms.
I have used the Dualsky 4950 HED packs in the past and their IR was similar. The Dualsky packs are excellent IMHO but like any battery you need to look after them. Never leave them stored fully charged and always charge them back to storage level after the days flying.
Cheers,
Jason.

I had a chuckle at the "....You test everything...." comment that some have made to you.
The Allure has the right stuff. Good job! Hopefully they can make it light enough for you.

Great article, Bryan. In essence, you have simply proved that the 'scientific method' applies to everything that is, well, scientific. Last year I pulled an old pattern ship that I had scratch built (a slightly modified Typhoon 900 for 60 power) out of storage. Built around 1991, I had screwed around with trim issues for about 200 flights before moving on to a proven design (a Dick Hanson Runaround). I got the Typhoon airworthy and applied your trim methodology. It just needed the CG moved a little farther aft. Great flying airplane, just a few decades too late :-) I am a disciple! Thanks.

Guys I`m going to have the Allure CG and throw/setup guide posted to the Allure page on the website in a few days.
Dave Lockhart has also written a JR servo selection Guide for the Allure ,and I plane to do a Futaba guide soon.
Dave Snow is now setup to do Laser cut wood wings and Stabs for the Allure and will build them as a service.
He can be reached by email here [email protected] Dave says his first proto wings are 270 grams average and stabs are 70 grams average.
I`m still working on a foam supplier for the builders Kit I hope to have that done soon.
Thanks to the guys who are have waited for the their models We should be catching up to demand shortly. My customers have been my best salesman
Thanks to you all.
Merry Christmas
Bryan

Hello Byran,
Are there any guys flying them in NC/SC? I know of one in VA, probably won't get an opportunity to fly that one.
I'm currently down to two choices
Thank's

Bill, I just ordered one myself because most of my competition in D1 and D2 have or are getting one. It's going to look like IROC in Masters on the East Coast. LOL.
And I already have 3 planes( Xigris, BiSide and Invitation) to choose from that will do what I need just fine.

Seem's to be a HUGE taking to the Allure. I'm stuck between the Invitation or Bryan's Allure GP, really not sure? I have a few reservations about both air frames, different reservations. I wish I had that many air frame choices to fly Joe.., Nice!

If you've narrowed it down to two models then the choice is quite easy. Go with the Allure. You will get local support from the designer and a great flying model to boot.
Cheers,
Jason.

HappyNew Year Everyone
On December 19[SUP]th[/SUP], I met Bryan where our NSRCADistrict holds the Cajun Nationals Pattern Contest, each October and picked uptwo Allures, mine and my buddy’s. WhenBryan took them out of the box so that I could inspect them, I said, “Wow this plane is far more beautiful inperson, and was ecstatic that I chose the Limited Edition Signature Version”. Since then, a couple of other guys at ourlocal club have said the same. They love this plane.
When I laid my eyes on my buddy’s Standard Scheme, Iwas equally impressed with the finish, as some of colors on it are brilliantand bright like a diamond.
So, I waited until after Christmas and started theassembly/build job on mine. Rather thanuse the front aluminum mount made for the Plettenberg Advance 30-10, I made thefront and rear motor support mounts from eight-inch end cut balsa/carbon fiber.I’ve used this method on two other pattern planes and this method has workedvery well for me. By January 9[SUP]th[/SUP], I had it ready for the maidenflight.
Now, we’re in the middle of winter here in Texas, but I’vebeen very anxious to fly my new Allure, so I decided to take it out on the 13[SUP]th[/SUP](I don’t believe in bad luck), sort of late in the evening and only got oneflight on it on that day. So, my wife andI went back out to our flying site on the following Sunday, and my buddy met usthere, a little earlier this time, and got three initial trim flights on theAllure. Now I’m paraphrasing here, but when Bryanmentioned that one tenth of an inch matters, he is correct! I had set the elevators adjusted in what I knewwas perfectly even with the stab tips, however, it needed a bit of down trim tofly straight and level. When I landed it, my buddy and I went over the trimsettings which was a (-11) at the finest setting, on my 14MZ. We then checkedthe elevator halves and realized that what initially appeared to be straightalignment to the naked eye, was actually off by a very small amount. Were-adjusted the elevators halves and took it up again.
All I cansay is “Wow!!” We had a 15mph cross wind, straight out ofthe East and the Allure was extremely smooth and solidly stable. I’m going tohave a lot of fun in Advanced this year.
I wasn’tgoing to post any pictures because there’s so many pictures of the Allure outthere, but after sharing a couple of them with Bryan, he said “Those are nicepics and that I ought to put some on RCU”. Well since I’m so proud of my Allure, I thought it over for a couple ofdays and decided to post some pics. My only regret with the Allure, is that Ididn’t order two Limited Edition Signature version!!
Kudos to Bryan as this has to behis greatest design ever. My hat is off to him!!
I hope everyone has a great flying season, this year.

Got our Allures!!
Yesterday me and my flying buddy, Clint, journeyed down to the Allure factory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to pick up our new pattern weapons for the 2016 season. After a quick and enjoyable lunch with Bryan, we headed back home with our new airplanes.
The drive back took nearly twice as long since we avoided busy interstates so as to not catch the eye of law enforcement. Transporting unregistered drones across state lines is a very serious crime now-a-days.
