Hi Hans and Adam,
Every one from us is only F3A hobby pilots. It is good to get any hobby in the life time ) I am happy with F3A
Adam as I remember you are aerodynamic or full size aircraft designer engineer?
Don't worry I am happy to see here in my thread such as high level discusion like yours guys Best Regards to Sandro Matti Hans I meet him in the last year in the UK World Cup- honest very nice guy and his Father
Tomorrow I'm going to do next 7 flights in the windy condition.
I just want to be sure about TMCR and my plane in different weather conditions.

Best Regards

Les

Hi Les,
Sandro, yes, a humble guy and probably the biggest hope of Switzerland to get that f3a crown back to our country after the legendary Bruno Giezendanner
(almost 50 years ago now ) ! But nowadays the whole game is played on a completly different level and France and Japan have their Federer and Djokovic
playing it !
Adam, I will get in contact with you !
And I totally understand your thinking beind the TMCR layout - all makes sense to me and I am fan of KISS as well
see you
Hans

Hi Les,
So, did you clock some more flighttime with your "no name" and the TMCR ?
Can you dial in this combo to your liking ?
I actually ordered a TMCR from Adam ( delivery around April or May ) - very nice guy and a knowlegable engineer for sure he is - and as actual polish champion in F3A, he must be good as a pilot as well - what a combo !
His future units will be anodized red as standard - see the pics of the latest one in the making - wonderful stuff !!

Hi Hofer,
In the first day I did 7 flights, two days later in a very windy condition- only 5 I left two batteries for another better day Was just to windy!!!!
Plane did tests very well, there is enough power to use with this motor!!!!,
Second think- I can't understand how nice and easy it is to fly with this plane and probably more important-this motor. I don't think so much about my design- probably is just normal/right but together with this motor that's a new world for me.
You ordered? Be prepare to "a bit of shock" It is a really big difference in the air with ZERO GYRO effect motor.... All the others contras they are still using single motor which is generating a gyro effect.

My plane after tests is back in my workshop for final painting

Hi Les,
And wow, your bird is getting a nice dress - will be double the fun to fly it with a good finish on i t!
In fact, I do have some experience with TMCR`s from GSmodels of china . It is a Hokusey Ray Bird and a Naruke Acuracy - both with the same motors
and both beeing 70 class, driven on 5s/5000mah !
Yes, I noticed that very neutral behavour in the yaw axis as well with these planes - as you say- there is just absolutely no "tension" on that airframe and you have to get used to this !
I will install Adam`s TMCR in a Matt Amethyst and he has warned me that this airframe has probably too little side area for his TMCR - on the other hand, it has the ultimate canalyzer - it`s a biplane !!
We will see !
Hans

Hi All,
So far I have done 50 flights .
Everything works very well and I am very happy with "AXIS"- that's finally name of the plane.
Motor Debovski D3 TMCR also works very very fine and my next will be the same for sure.
Today i have had left in my 5000mah batteries between 38-43 % after each P17 (time 6:50-7:20 -so very huge for ths schedule).
And here some pictures with my "Derbyshire Contra Club"
Ashbourne, ordinary weather in United Kingdom 13.03.2016.....

Love that color scheme! The third photo shows a triangular piece of (balsa) wood at the leading edge of the fin. Is the design being 'tweaked'?
