Default BJ Craft Contra

Just received word that it's ok to release the info that BJ Craft will have a new belt drive contra available next spring!!! Pretty exciting!! I don't have one and don't have any other info yet, but it will be coming to market and I am excited!!!

If I read correctly, this one will be called the x drive. He also has a y drive (belt driven) coming out non contra for a 3 blade.

BJ is really passionate about his work and really does produce a lot of great products. I will update when I learn more.

It will be nice to have an alternative to existing 50Products belt drives from Japan, which have been designed for some of BJ's planes in the past (Fantasista 110 and 70).
They are a bit difficult to export to the USA, but very nice products. The OS F3A belt drive (now in its second version) is a bit easier to get (Australia)
Do you have any estimated weights for these new drives? Will all BJCraft importers be offered to sell them?

I agree itc, it will be nice to have an option. And probably a quiet option. I will ask be your questions and hopefully have some answers soon. Sorry for the lag in response. Christmas and my company. Has kept me way too busy. I'll email BJ.

50Products in Japan (designer and manufacturer of 70 and 110 size belt drives for BJCraft planes) uses Scorpion or Plettenberg Orbit
I contacted Scorpion here with the part number on my Type G belt drive for my Fantasista 70; they had no idea
They think it is a Japan only model.
