Dear modellers

I'm coming from switzerland and looking for a small F3A Modell (ca. 1'100mm wing span). It seems there's some on the market like a Denkado Musette oder a Comet from E*Star Model. But until this kit is in Switzerland it's realy expensive and take so much time for shipping. So my plan is to built by myself from a plan. But I couldn't find any plan available in the net that fits the requirement.
There's some sources for a 2m pattern ship. But shrink this dimensions to 1'100mm could not be the solution. Do the construction by myself exeeds my available time to do so.
Do anybody know a source for such a plan.

I've done one. Haven't built it yet. Ive called it Kaze. Of course it looks like Musette. It is 1100mm span and uses 16mm carbon tube and aftermarket canopy.

FYI, I'm a resident of the USA and ordered this model.

My thanks to ITC for helping me get past their website using Japanese writing. His suggestion to use Google Chrome and its native translator made filling out the order form easy. Be advised that a response will take well over 12 hrs due to the time difference. It took ~3 days from the time I placed the order until I received a confirmation with an EMS tracking number. Payment was via Paypal and was $172 USD and change, a significant portion was shipping.

I'll put up another post when it arrives noting its condition etc.

While not my first overseas order, it is my first from Japan and has me seriously considering a Musette. Its an "adventure" for this old man.

My apology for stepping on your thread. I'll start another thread if you prefer.

In the meantime, my Skylark arrived Wed Mar 3 and the model is undamaged in shipment. That is 8 days from placing the order to deliver at my door step. The "box?" was unusual because it was not the typical brown box but improvised. The original box was wrapped with bubble wrap and exterior pieces of cardboard around both ends with the bubble wrap exposed in the center.

I live 100 north of NYC on the west bank of the historic Hudson River. The Nor'Easter Storm Skylar passed thru yesterday so the maiden flight isn't in the near future. Depending on Eitschpii's response I'll update you either here or a new thread here on RCU.


It's been a gas so far, I look forward to a successful conclusion.

Dear Jer

No problem if somebody jumps in this thread. Otherwise there's no further discussions....
We can use this tread to sum all suggestions for models what the title stands for: small F3A models. So bring any real small models for pattern use in here.
I try to build up my own small pattern ship with a wingspan between 1m to 1.1m (maybee 1.15m as a max). If I do, I will document the build progress in another tread.

Would you consider raising your maximum size from 1.15m to 1.2m? The reason being it would include a bunch of 48" models for your consideration such as these:
