The Q-80 hasn't arrived yet.... Unfortunately I'm heading out of town for a few days so I hope it shows up shortly so I can get it mounted up quickly.

Just recd 2010 SPARK...all looking good, however,I seem to be missing the stock material for mounting of rudder, the photos on Krill site manuel show old style rudder...anyone have any photos of their rudder hinge install, specifically Im looking for the material used in the very bacl of vertical stab, and if you left it flat or sanded on a 45...
also guys ,did you recieve your planes with wing and stab incidence correctly set ?...the only paperwork recdfrom krill was a packing list..no manuel.
Thanks Geo

Geo,

Here is what I did on the spark... The piece of balsa is 1/4" that has been sanded down to create the bevel. It is then just glued in and hinged. Its not to hard to get it to fit in there. The one thing to keep in mind on this plane is that it is extremely long. So be very careful where you put the hinge line as it will be very close to 2meters.

FINALLY!!..after months of waiting the next project has arrived, and made it to the bench.Today we got the gear/pants/ wheels attached, affixed the canopy, and mounted the rudder.
Used BVM hatch latch..nice and light, NMP wheel axles.(.and saved 16 grams over stock), and used the kit included foam/glass laminate...with balsa blocks attached, for rudder post
Still plenty to keep us busy while we wait for the spinner and c50 mount from KRILL....

Geo,

Set the airplane up to get a max of 22 degrees of aileron for snaps. This is what I use for the faster snaps in the F pattern. I then fly with 10.8 degrees of aileron down and 10.2 up for normal sequence flying. For rudder just set it up so that is it touching the rudder for high rates and then set it to person feeling for lower rates.

This is question of the century lol I receive exact setups from Bert from Aerobertics.be, Ales, Andres and Andew, all of them had different approach to setup and throws. For my best starting point was Andrew setup, however even from that i made small changes, till plane start flying like i want. In any case now im very happy with this plane, Spark dynamic is sure amazing machine when you spend some time on it. This weekend we had second F3A cup of Lithuania, i won it with Spark, next stop is this weekend Belarus F3A championship.

Hi Guy's,

Here are some pics from my last comp at Coonabarabran, NSW Australia. Was a great country comp with the best weather.

Some pilots including myself did some showing off for the photographer on takeoff.

Cheers
Jason.

Nice pic's Jason, i sure like these colors and GB scheme. Here i have one more picture to share. Open Lithuania F3A / F6A championship was held last weekend in Panevezys. Good weather, good friends and another victory for Spark. Next step big F3A competition in Ukraine after few weeks, guess i need to look at F sequence

Also here you can find review of belarus F3A championship;

Hello !

I just finished my Spark and have been flying a few days with it. Very impressing...!!!! A very friendly and stable model, easy to fly well.

Can anyone help me with settings for the throws for spins and snaps ? The snaps appears a bit lazy with a lot of direction change after it.

The spins dont look very good. More like a falling leaf. Also it is very difficult to make it stall without suddenly dropping the right wing.

The CG is at the backside of the wingtube

Any help is appreciated

Thanks for that Claude,

So it looks to have a different rudder, swept back wings and the fuse looks a fraction different. It may also have anhedral stab but can't tell from the pics.

Cheers,
Jason.
