Hyperion G3 batteries

RE: Hyperion G3 batteries
Tommy, I have been using them for about 5 months now. I was given one set of 5000s to test, so far they have been great. The first set has 94 cycles on them and the IR has basically remained the same. All cells are in the 1.9-2.2 range if the cells are at 75F or warmer when charged on a CellPro 10S charger. I bought another set about a month ago and they are performing exactly like the first set.
There is a very active thread on R C Groups under Batteries/Chargers forum about these batteries. One of the very active contributors on that thread does a lot of testing of batteries using a CBA unit and he is reporting that the 3S 2200 pack he is testing has over 130 cycles (first 75 on the CBA) and the IR has changed very little from the beginning to now.
Long story but at this point I am very happy with the ones I am running. Only complaint is they are slightly heavier than my TP5300V2s but I can live with that for the performance and the price. I ran the Hyp5000s and the TP5300V2s side by side for the first 50 cycles on each. The Hyps outperformed the TPs but they are a 25C battery while the TPs are 20C. However, at about 50 cycles, the TPs IR began climbing. These batteries are used in an 11 lb Integral flying the P09 sequence this last season.

RE: Hyperion G3 batteries
I have four of the G3 CX 5000mah 25C lipos. They're listed at 625 gm, mine are 631-633 gn with velcro and Deans connector. I have over 60 flights on one pair and they are holding up well. See the attached charts. I also have had good luck with the Rhino 4900 20C. Similiar performance to the Hyperion G3, but a couple of grams heavier. A good value for $65 from Hobby City!

RE: Hyperion G3 batteries
Hi,
I have been used 2-sets of G3 cx 5000 packs on my Integral this season, and they are the best i have tried so far compared to my Zippy-R and polyquest PQ-25C / 5000. In fact, they could not even compare..
Run`s cool, keep power at high loads ,even near discharged level, seems to withstand though usage; both discharge / charge.
State of the art batteries to an reasonable price.
... yes, i would say that this time; the advertising is correct
