Wagner Solution EF-1 Kits!! 09-12-2011

Hello All!!

I wanted to announce the release of the new Wagner Solution EF-1 short Kit.

It is a replica of the Judy Wagner Solution that was the 4th plans built shoestring ever. Judy was the first woman to win a 1F1 race and did so with this airplane.

I am asking $125 plus shipping, The kits include the following:

Laser Cut 1/8" lite ply fuselage parts
Laser cut 3/16" balsa Stab & Rudder
Blue Core Foam Wings
Fiberglass Cowl
Fiberglass Canopy
Fiberglass Wheel Pants
Aluminum Landing Gear
Instructions

Please contact me if you are interested. Email is [email protected] Paypal is the preferred method of payment to that address.

I have attached some photos of the Wagner. Just recently won the CAPS Classic EF-1 race with fast time. The airframe will accept the Eflight Power 25 1250Kv, Turnigy SK 35-42-1250Kv, or the Arrowind 2820-07 1300Kv motors. These are the approved NMPRA motors for EF-1. It will accept others as well, but it was designed for racing EF-1 so it was designed to accept these motors specifically. The battery tray holds a 4S 2650 pack quite nicely. Finished weight is 3.25lbs.

Here are some pictures of the laser cut fuse parts going together. The tab and slot construction lock everything in straight making for a quick build. Once glued together, the fuse is quite strong.

Airplane specs are:

Wing Span 51 7/8"
Wing Area 378 sq in
Fuse Length 35.25"
RTF Weight 3.25lbs (52ozs) (with EF-1 legal power plant & batteries)

I fly mine with an Arrowind 2820-07 1300Kv motor (http://www.brodak.com/shop_productde...ProductID=9066), Castle ICE 100 lite esc, Turnigy 4S 40C 2650 Li Poly batteries, APC "E" 8 x 8 prop, Hitec HS-225BB mighty mini servos, and Turnigy 9X 2.4 Radio. The cowl is made for a 1.5" (38mm)spinner. I use the Brodak 1 1/2" aluminum spinner.

Here is a picture of the first Wagner Solution EF-1 kit to be completed. This model was built by George Parks of Austin, Texas. He did a fantastic job with his and loves the way it flies.

There are now several Wagner EF-1's out there and hope to see more of them completed soon. With the weather slipping fast in the midwest and the northern states, might be limited on flight reports for the year, but you never know.

Kits are moving off the shelf and hope to have to order more parts soon for another production run. Get them while their hot!!!

Hello and happy Turkey Day to all.

I wanted to announce that I am now offering a sheeted wing version of the Wagner Solution EF-1 kit for $175. The wing is vacuum bagged in (1) piece with epoxy and fiberlgass underneath the skins. Average wing weights have been 8ozs out of the bag. Wings will be trimmed and ready for LE. Trailing edge will be trimmed and ready for sanding. EF-1 rules mandate a minimum 1/16" TE so little sanding is required.

Look forward to seeing more finished Wagner Solutions out there.

Take Care!!

Hello all EF-1 racers. The flying season is upon us and building season is nearing an end. We will be racing soon.

I have attached some pictures of some Finished Wagner Solution EF-1 racers completed over the winter. I am finishing out my second run on Wagner Solutions and will be starting a 3rd very soon.

I will also be offering a RTC version of the Wagner Solution that is built here in the states using the kit parts. RTC version will be sold like this:

1.) Wing sheeted with ailerons finished & hinged, torque rods installed, wing hard points installed, battery notch cut out and capped, and servo slot cut out and capped. Wing tips will not be installed due to shipping costs.
2.) Fuselage will be completely assembled with all blind nuts installed & top and bottom decks sheeted.
3.) Tail feathers will be assembled, sanded, & pre-hinged.
4.) Glass parts will be filled, and primed. Hatch hold down will be installed as well as the magnets. Hatch will be potted to wing.

To finish this model, you will need (2) rolls of covering, Spray paint, EF-1 Motor, 60 amp ESC, 4S battery, 1 1/2" Spinner, & prop.

Still working out the details on price, but I will post as soon as this is decided.

Very nice plane, nice looking kit. My son was asking for an E-Flite Shoestring for X-mas but we are builders not ARF'ers and I think I found his plane!! Question, Is there a reason that none of the EF1 kits I've seen have Fiberglass fuselages.

EF1 models by rule have to be built up. Glass parts can be used for non structural covers like cowls and canopies.

Thanks for the comments. The Wagner is a very easy to build kit and flies very well.
