EF-1 Rivets
I have heard there is a EF-1 kit or plans for a Faulks Riets. Is that true and where do I find one?

RE: EF-1 Rivets
I got a rivets EF1 design approved and am working on the flats. I hope to have a kit for it after the new year. Stay tuned.

Matney Models has a version of the Rivets for EF1

RE: EF-1 Rivets
The model Kevin sells is a Thunder Chicken. It is similar to the rivets as it has a T tail. It is a very good flying bird. It won the EF1 nats last year with Gino Delponte at the sticks.
The major difference is the wing planform and the gear is in the wing on the rivets and in the fuse on the chicken. The rivets has a straight trailing edge and the chicken has a double taper wing. Archie Adamisin Muncie IN |

Rivets is has a wing cores cut but is on hold until I finish the Mariah and Cassutt I have started. The rivets will be next as it is a popular bird. Hope to have first laser parts in December to make cowl and canopy molds. Shooting for kit release in January. No biggy on Thunder Chicken. It's not a Rivets but it is a very good airplane. Just looks different. Archie Adamisin Muncie IN |

RE: EF-1 Rivets
Archie,
You must be reading my mind! while I like F1 designs in general, the Rivets and Cassutt are among my favs. I have wanted to try pylon racing since I was a kid but as a kid couldn't afford F1 engines and Quickie 500 wasn't around yet and there boring anyway. Now my 11yr. old son is interested in racing so the time is now for this old dog to give it a try! and EF1 is the way to go as we are almost exclusively electric already. I will be ordering at least one Wagner very soon and a Rivets as soon as they become available. I cant wait to see both of your new kits and hope you post some pics soon. Thanks, Eric |

Hello,
Your stuff looks great, glad kits are still around. I do have a question, the proud Bird ARF looks to be a very easy conversion to the Rivets by reshaping the wing tip and make a new vertical fin and stab. What do you think? Larry |

RE: EF-1 Rivets
Archie,
any updates on the rivets, Cassutt or the Mariah? |
RE: EF-1 Rivets
I am finishing a conversion of the GP Proud Bird to make it a Rivets. It is going very smooth!! The Mariah is going slow, but will be next. I have wings cut and flats nearly complete for the Cassutt.
Busy with Cub Scouts and work as of late so progress has been slowed, but progress is being made. Thanks for the interest!! Archie Adamisin Muncie, IN |
RE: EF-1 Rivets
I'm reworking the Thunder Chicken to make a Rivets kit so stay tuned.
The wing is cut and has been sheeted already. |
