exceed g2 vs walkera v400d02
I'm wanting to get into 6ch CP helis and not wanting to spend a whole lot starting out... I have been searching the internet, going to forums and reviews and youtube videos etc... trying to figure out what would be a good heli to start out with.... being that most everything is sold out everywhere.. I have found both exceed g2 and walkera v400 in stock at xheli for a great price... my question is which would be the better choice or are there better options that im missing... again wanting a RTF kit and not wanting to break the bank.... any help would be awesome.... im starting to get discouraged and i havent even left the ground yet.. ha ha .. ok that was dumb..... I think its more information overload more then anything..... I need someone to help me narrow things down a bit...

RE: exceed g2 vs walkera v400d02
I started with the Exceed Raptor G2. I found it to be a good little heli to learn to hover on. Pluses were small purchase price. mineus were waiting for parts and the brushed motor that came with it were junk. I flew mine constantly & burned out two of them.
I moved on to a Trex 450 bought from a local hoby shop. Easer to get parts for. But the Raptor was a decent bird to get started on.
If your interested, I'll sell you mine for $100.00 plus my spares. It needs a motor which you can get from X-heli for $14.00 or so. The Exceed is just a re-labled Walkera 36B which I found out researching parts for it from several forums.
Anyway if interested e-mail me at [email protected]. I can send photos of my exceed still in the original box.
Good luck !

RE: exceed g2 vs walkera v400d02
I was getting back into the hobby and bought a g2. It is not a bad heli. Mine is brushless and I have had no problems with it burning out motors. The one thing i did have to do was and 2.50 ounces of weight to the nose of the canopy to get the heli to balance out. I later bought a t-rex 450 clone and found out that the 2200 batteries when installed in the g2 balanced the heli and the run time went form 5 minutes to 14 minutes which is great for learning. I sugguest that you check out mickeysrc.com. He has a section of building and inexpensive 450 clone. It maybe the way to go. The g2 is a good heli but once you fly both you will find the g2 a little weak and the 450 clone a hot rod. IF you have anymore question let me know.
