Default Ball Links - How Loose or tight?

I'm completing the CP upgrade on my Hornet, and I'm having some issues with what I consider too tight and too loose ball links in the upgrade kit.

Tight: binding or sticking when moving.
Loose: easily push on and then past the ball, and easily drop down due to their own weight.

Generally, I like to have all of the ball links loose enough to rotate from their own weight but still stay tight enough to not so easily push past the ball.

How do you judge or set correct ball link tension?
