Default How to understand electric helicopter

Well after many years flying nitro helis I will try electrics now. I am planning to buy a trex 500 , how you guys get the bec, pinion, lipo, motor formula to get the correct set in. Also does the lipo charger balancer if it fit the plug of lipo balancer I can charche them with that charger or I need a specific balancer for different lipos? Also rotor speed and curves. Thank you in advance

If you buy the Trex 500 kit it all comes together. The Esc has a built in BEC. The throttle curves very from flyer to flyer. Since I'm assumeing that your not a beginer. Set your Normal throttle 0-100 liner & idle up 100% linner. Pitch is linner both ways.
You might want to look at the Trex 550e FBL before you buy. The 550 blows the 500 away performace wise & is much more stable to boot.
Just my 2 cents
