Default MIA Micro Heli H'bird Chassis - Beta test

Got a package in the mail today. Last week I sent Mario (MIA Micro Flight) one of my unbuilt H'Bird chassis and today I got this really sweet G10 custom chassis ready for my components to be mounted integrated with my H'bird's backbone.

The design is really high in utility value with multiple options for mounting receiver/gyro/batteries/etc. One of the most outstanding features is the unique material the the LG struts are made from. They can be fully compressed and they spring right back to the original shape every time. Hard landings and crashes will not hurt these puppies. I suspect that you may have to drive over them in your SUV to do them harm.

I also like the shape of the gear legs as they remind me of the Voyager-E gear on my old Corona and will look great on a card Cobra or my Blue Thunder micro models.

I'm off to buy the Hornet version next. I will let you know how it looks and works out.

Boyd,

That looks nice and clean... What is the weight penalty?

About 10grams in an Apple to Apple comparison(no offense to PC users intended ) It is so much better for laying things out that it is worth the penalty to me. I have just received some new HD Kokams from Troy at Bishop Power products for field test and they will give me back the weight gain without sacrificing power or a tremendous amount of duration. I'll have a post up when I've run about 10-15 cycles through these new bruisers
