Default hovered my new HB today for 6 min. EXTREME!!!

After all the headaches i've had for a week I finally got the tail to sit under control (no unwanted yaw) using a (GWS 8.4 volt batt., ics50,ics100,pg-03,r6n2/h reciever) and 2 hs-55's it is EXTREME !! Oh, and controlling it all with a futaba 6exa !! This is my first electric heli (hummingbird V3) great first electric heli ! I have made my own trainer gear for it using 2'' styrafoam balls from a local craft store (hobbylobby) then two 18'' pieces of 3/16 wooden dowel and finally a lid from a camera film case . The little round case for 35mm film. All I did was cut four little noches in the under side at an angle so one piece would snap in as a whole and the other piece cut in half and snapped both halfs in then just a little epoxy (15min.) $2.75 later perfect trainer! And a little patience pays off!!

Don't get me wrong it does like to dance a bit but I lead. It'll keep a stable hover for about 2-3 sec. but my wife still won't let me land it in her hand. Just trying to make it seem useful to her, I told her it was an indoor blower (It'll blow the dust right off the top shelf) but I still can't turn the living room into an indoor airport! Back to the problem, I did all my mixing through my tx. I have my prog. mix at -100, my gyro 1/8 + from 0, epa on thr. at 80% and epa on rud. at 63%. The only thing's I adjust now are d/r for outside and inside. I don't know much about the humming board except that when one part fails it becomes spare parts (plugs & wires). Thats why I went with seperate setup. But other than that the only things I did different were cutting the tabs off the servos, diy battery holder (works great) when I get my driver for my camera working again i'll post pictures. and I fly with no canopy. Oh yeah and one big headache from trimming!! What type of tx. are you flying with?

Landing the heli on your wife hand will be a BIG mistake and very very dangerouse. Plese don't do it. When I check the blade tracking up close, I even have to wear the eye protection goggles.

I can see if you have a Brushless system or a CP hummingbird but the most I got was a little purple patch from my non-brushless FP Hummingbird. It could really hurt your face if you fly to close Though...lol my tx arial saved my face one time back when I was learning nose in flying...the angle the heli was comeing at me would have smacked me dead in the nose. Thats the only place I could see it hurting a bunch.

anyhoo, have fun with your heli, the message board will always be here when you need help

My Dragon fly has these on it [link=http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/NS.Like90.FP.MainBlades.php]http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/NS.Like90.FP.MainBlades.php[/link]
and it spins up to about 2 times faster, i havnt tested it yet but im betting it will cut you wide open and give you some mad splinters
